You have to be completely blind and deaf to think that religious issues are not important to republican politicians and voters.  It is their bread and butter.  They run their campaigns on it. If it weren't for their stances on religious issues, republicans would probably get about half of the votes they do now, or they would at least not have unconditional support from christians.  Religious issues are a complete waste of time but receive a lot of attention from the republican agenda.  If religious issues weren't important, then why during the campaign was all that religious propaganda aimed at Obama?  Remember: he's a muslim, his preacher, etc.?

I don't honestly believe that working class christians care if some greedy CEO gets taxed a little more than anyone else because he earns enough to have 6 houses.  They might say they care because they have been brainwashed to do so, hell, if they can be led like sheep to believe that evolution does not exist and most science is an evil plot by the devil, then anything goes.

The Great Global Warming Swindle is the definition of junk science.  The biggest supposed evidence in that piece of garbage of a video tried to claim that levels of CO2 go down as the Earth heats up.  The only problem is, they used data from a time period right after an ice age, which of course would lower CO2 as the world's biggest carbon sinks (oceans) cease to be frozen over...but I'm sure you already knew that. There are always a few scientists (in this case, geographers) to do the dirty work for big corperations who stand to lose a lot of money.  However, their spin on the issue does not really compare to the consensus of over 2600 scientists worldwide who actually did research on the subject.  Thanks to the right-wing media, Americans are actually hearing the outrageous claims of a few "junk scientists".  There are always a few.

According to several television and cable ratings sites, Fox News has been easily the most viewed cable news network in america for several years.  Also, you were quick to "dismiss a few talk radio shows", but over 13 million weekly listeners is not anything to write off concerning fat boy Limbaugh.  But nooooo, no one here's the conservative point of view, do they?  And just because other broadcasting networks don't exclusively do reporting for the benefits of one party, doesn't actually mean that they are liberal.  But its convenient for you to label them that, I understand.

Further, your research on Watts the blogger is less than impressive and the argument makes a moot point.  Yes, it is conceivable that people would actually want to know the temperature at places they live.  You know, the weatherman isn't worth watching if he takes the temperature 300 miles outside of town.  Even if the conspiracy theory you are suggesting were true, it wouln't matter anyway.  There is no debate that the Earth is indeed getting warmer.  There is plenty of evidence for it beyond what some temperature readers say.  Here is one example out of about 1 million: Glacier National Park in Montana.  Far removed from air conditioning exhausts, the park had 150 glaciers in 1850 compared to the 26 left today,  all of which are receeding at an extremely abnormal rate.  Do some reading on that, assbag. There are about 1 million other glaciers and ice sheets which are receeding at abnormal rates as well. There are also many other indicators of the Earth's warming temperatures that don't require thermometers, including biological migrations due to climate.  So, democrats aren't asking the world to live in fear of global warming, but just trying to get people to make some lucid decisions to minimize it.  All the while, ignorant fat fucks like Rush Limbaugh do their best to counter it with absurd references for reasons that can only be explained by their hate for democrats, who include Al Gore who raised awareness on the issue.   Its a sorry and pathetic display of ignorance and downright apathy.

If you want to talk about statements that discredit any valid arguments, lets go back to the one that involved you not accounting for large landmasses on Earth that are almost entirely covered with ice.  Not only does this show that you really have no in depth knowledge about the subject of global warming and are using talking points you heard on conservative propoganda tv, it also exposes that you have a general disregard and lack of knowledge concerning the current events happening on Earth.  If you are really unaware of the giant ice sheets and glaciers melting, thawing tundra, effects of climate and biological migration, and other obvious signs of a warming planet, then I must say that you are truly a know-nothing loser.

As far as my statement about there being no debate whether the planet is warming, I stand by it and challenge anyone to come up with a substantial amount of credible evidence that proves otherwise.  That task will sort of be hard to do considering the simultaneous phenomena that is happening worldwide which indicates warming, but I am listening.  I know that there is no debate, not because of Al Gore or Olbermann, I've never even heard Olbermann mention global warming, although I don't watch him much.  No, I know that there is no debate because I researched it several times when I was in college, and that was over 3 years ago.  I have spent hours searching through scholarly articles regarding climate change.  However, I am quite certain that your cherry picked arguments are straight out of Limbaugh and Hannity's mouth, seeing that they endorsed the site which you referenced.  That is what is so ironic about conservatives when it comes to science.  They disregard it, trash-talk it, minimize it, and scrutinize it to no end.  Only when science can benefit them politically or financially are they interested.  All across the world, there are liberals doing science for the sake of science, stuff you don't know or care about.  Only when it conflicts with your selfish agenda do you take interest, and most of the time it only involves you doing everything in your power to convince people that the science is a conspiracy.  Even most pinhead republicans have given up on arguing that the planet is not warming, and now the debate is on to whether man is partly responsible.  The truth will eventually come out, and I would be willing to bet you will be on the losing end.  Hell, it basically already has come out, but lets give the skeptics a little more time to try to disprove it.

Really?  So you think that Watts' study on his blog trumps decades of observations through glacial geology, paleoclimatology, acidification of oceans, ocean temps, studies from ice cores, thawing tundra, biological studies including migrating species, changes in plant life, dendrochronology, and yes, sea level rise (I'll get to in a second), all of which points to the Earth's warming temperature?  Also, Watts may have discovered that some weather stations are badly sited in the US, but it IS a moot point when considering that increase in temperature is a consensus from most weather stations throughout the WORLD.  Oh wait, thats right, the whole world cares about Al Gore and his retirement and they all are scheming a huge conspiracy for his benefit, right?  And besides all of that, if weather stations were poorly sited, they could still likely record increases in temperatures if they stayed in the same spot, another reason why Watts' study doesn't really disprove a whole lot.  Further, I never wrote his study off as phony, it just doesn't have a significant impact on anything unless you are willing to believe that what an ex-weatherman found about some weather monitoring stations is more telling than the natural physical, chemical, geological, and biological processes of the Earth.  You will just have to get a lot more evidence than that to call shannanigans.

Lets also ignore the fact that the Greenland glaciers are no longer in decline, and that one down in Argentina that's been growing in leaps and bounds and is advancing at a record pace. I guess it hasn't heard it should be melting into nothingness.

Let's not ignore these things.  This statement is a testament to how much of a biased retard you really are.  If you even bothered to READ any of the climate models that have been cited, you would know that many of them predicted some fluctuations with glaciers, especially those that are subject to special climate conditions.  For instance, it has been speculated that some glaciers may actually grow due to global warming...as in, the warming ocean may produce increased precipritation in some areas, increasing the growth of some glaciers.  So, your point here doesn't really do much except point out anomallies that were already predicted by the people you are convinced are lying.

Regarding your personal experience...its more of the same with you.  making yourself look like an idiot once again for having not been educated about climate change before writing it off as lies.  The fact is, assumptions about global warming from temperature readings are generally made from average annual lows acoss the entire planet.  No one just looked at record breaking highs for a few days or even weeks in one place and concluded it was global warming.  Weather patterns are not uniform across the globe and global warming doesn't mean that exactly where you live, every day of the year will be warmer than the previous year.  I love it when republicans find an abnormally cold day and try to use it as a means to disprove any theories about global warming.  You actually have to know what science has suggested before you claim it is bullshit, you stupid fucking moron.

And even though I said that there is still some debate about whether man is partly responsible for warming, you apparently ignored that fact and decided to treat me as someone who has concluded that there is no other explanation than the doings of mankind.  I merely challenged you to come up with enough facts that prove that the Earth is not getting warmer, which you didn't do.  It was highly predictable that you'd go for the rabbit in the hat that all conservatives do when you bring up climate change.  I bet you thought you threw a monkey wrench in my cereal on that one...try again.  I still don't deny that sun cycles have an impact on the Earth's climate, in fact I know they do, but they cannot account for a large percentage of climate change and the rate at which it is happening.  I've done more research on sun cycles and the impacts of them on the Earth's climate as well as the atmosphere of Mars than you'd even care to know about. but I'm tired and wasting my words on someone who believes only what he wants, even if he has to turn a blind eye to evidence that is staring him in the face.  I will say a couple of things though.  Carbon dioxide is a proven greenhouse gas, and has been an apparent role player in climate change in the Earth's history, including those that involve large mass extinctions on the planet.  It has also been shown to change temperature by way of volcanoes...so its not something to just ignore.  Also, the majority of educated people know that burning coal is the leading cause of anthropogenic CO2 emissions, not cars.  That has been what the scientific community has aimed at mitigating, regardless of what anyone else says.  Development of hydrogen fuel cell cars is not something I know a lot about, but I can garuntee you that the blame of global warming on vehicles has been something that the media has suggested more than anything, and a far cry from what scientists think is the main reason.  As far as Mars goes, if you want to debate me about Mars and its atmosphere, you ought to pack a lunch.  Quick searches on wikipedia won't allow you to hold your in that one, I promise you.  For now, I will just say that Mars is a completely different planetary system than Earth and while there may be a link to climate patterns on both planets, it is far from well understood, especially since Mars does not have oceans and we do not have extensive data for its climatic history.

So, if you want to make claims about global warming being a conspiracy for Al Gore's retirement, then you better have an idea of what has actually been studied/modeled about it before you start pretending to be an expert about it.  Cherry picking one-liners from Limbaugh's dialogue will only allow you to outwit teenagers on this site who don't know any better, which is what you apparently find pleasure in.
