Anonymous raged 1 month ago —— Fuck people who use art as a fucking scapegoat. I'm sick and tired of dumbass Christian assholes & cunts blaming music for the stupid things that people do. Look, if your stupid fucking bastard child shoots up his fucking school, he was a god damn mental case in the first place. It has nothing to do with his love for heavy metal music. If your loose, slut, whore, cunt of a fucking cum dumpster daughter slits her fucking wrists wide open, it's not her favorite Emo band's fault. It's her parent's fault for not recognizing that their child has fucking mental problems. Fuck people who blame music and video games for other people's bad behavior.

    I think an important aspect of all art, is to entice and enhance emotions in people. Does it excuse unethical behavior? Definitely not. But you can't say you've never listened to music without feeling more motivated, or pumped, or sad, or happy as a result. Music can trigger a wide range of emotions. It can be likened to the effects of drugs or Religious experiences, as in it elevates a persons emotional state. Personally, I can relate to music's influence to cause bodily harm. For some reason when I hear "I'm a barbie girl, in a barbie world..", I inevitably find myself wanting to put a fucking bullet in my head. But I don't. Because it's ethically wrong. A person who is bat shit crazy might not be as strong though.

    Even Bnonymous agrees with you: "person who is bat shit crazy might not be as strong though." A person's mental state determines whether someone goes on a shooting spree. Of course there have to be those shootings out there that are political in nature, but those individuals are quickly labelled as mentally ill so that others aren't motivated to do the same kind of attack in the future.
