They fucking brainwash us to believe that this fucking guy in the sky created us just cause, with no explanation of how he was made or why he made us. Then they write a fucking book about all of his appearances and we haven't seen any sign of his fucking golden ass since 2000 fucking years ago. Then this dickfuck king James can just take out chapters and verses of the bible and make his own because he's a fucking "prophet". While Muhammad is seen as some crazy fuck in the sand who believes in some sand god, Its The Same Fucking God You Fucks! Fucking if you are an atheist now your seen as his bad guy with no morals. Bullshit! Fuck God Fuck Christians! And fuck anyone who is a stupid ignorant religious piece of shit! I'm not asking you to believe anything differently I'm just tired of fucking asshole Christians!

Religion as it is today is more or less just human greed and corruption.

But most religion at it's core principals merely attempt to convince people to lead good lives.

The Bible was never meant to be taken literally, it is nothing more than a simple collection of stories focused around teaching good morals and clean friendly living, while also not being too much of a pussy to deal with your own problems now and then.

Of course, nowadays we don't need religion to teach us these things, and some would argue that many of it's lessons are no longer needed at all. But whatever it is, religion as both the original concept and the corrupt hive of greed and avarice of modern times is no longer needed, and should be cast away from human knowledge except into the recesses of historical collections, to stand as a testimony of man's greatest foible.

Unfortunately, we are no closer to that goal than we are to vacationing on the goddamned sun, so fuck.

Hmnn...I think, while Religion in and of itself is not needed anymore, some sort of Spirituality is though.

Most spiritual beliefs, distilled down to there basic elements, I guess might be considered a "religion of one"......which is how it should be anyways!

I would say the bulk of Humanity could not handle most intense emotions like sorrow over a death, etc, without the assistance of any sort of belief set. Plus the added bonus of all the double digit bottom dwellers might be slowed down a bit out of sheer fear of the almighty!

True, but that brings out the other big reason religion came about in the first place, which was to keep people in line through fear.

But then, that isn't truly the existence of spiritual beings, it is merely the belief in them. Which, though yes they may be of some help to man's mental state at certain times in their lives, ultimately is not a good thing.

It is just lying to ourselves.

how did we come to be then ?, if you claim it is evolution then how did the first organism which led into evolution come to be ? . it doesnt make sense , say for example they say that the big bang is the beginning of everything .. But then comes another question . How did the big bang happen ? questions after questions can drive you mad , a logical explanation is that god exists . Now im sure you will ask me . "Huh wtf!!! who created God then ? " well the answer is that its not within our reachable knoledge , you wouldnt want something you created to be smarter then you now would you ? if you keep thinking there is no god then you will be crazy before your 50 , say for example if there was no god then whats the point of living ? why not just kill ourself ? why care for the younger generation if you have no more place to go after you die ? i mean whats the point of life then ? you are just scared to admit that you are the one in need of god because god isnt in need for any of us , life isnt complete or would not even make sense if there was no god .. oh and btw muhhamed isnt seen as a crazy fuck , nor does he praise a sand god o.0 .. look here , most probably written by an atheist http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_100

I used to be Catholic until I reached the age of reason. I cannot understand how a logical person can go to the same building and hear the same stuff preached to you every week. ^I love that song! I spent all my school years in a Catholic school and whilst I value the good quality education that i received I realize now that a lot of what I believed for a long time was pure brainwashing and a lot of it defied logic. Now I have an eclectic approach to religion - there are some interesting and some valuable aspects in most religions but i follow none of them. If you believe in any sort of creator or God or even if you don't, all you need is to know what's in your heart and to know that you are living a life that hurts no one and nothing else. I believe some people can be spiritual without ever knowing religion.

Belief and religion should be a personal choice, it shouldn't be forced onto people. To each his own but organized religion is not for me. As you say, look at the bloodshed and other crimes committed in the name of religion.

The song Imagine should be the world's religion. It's all we will ever need. If only it could become a reality!

@DevilCriminal first off you fucking retard, evolution dosent explain where we came from, it explains how life changes. Abiogenesis tells all sorts of shit about where we came from like a meteor impact, the plannet theus crashing into earth giving us oceans and the moon and Amino Acids combining together to make organic compounds so it's not the question as to HOW we, as human beings, got here from the first single celled organisms (which has been thoroughly explained over and over again.) Incase you have been living under a rock, we know HOW the big bang happened. The big bang is essentially a convulsion of matter expanding in and out from a singularity of extremely hot matter. Now the reason why people ask the question "who created god" is because it is LOGICALY and PHYSICALY IMPOSSIBLE for him to exist!!! We are talking about a guy who can exist outside of everything that can possibly exist. Do you see how fucking dumb that is? It dosent make sense because it breaks about every single law of the universe and you go on about saying "it's out of our knoeage (?)" which is pretty much a piss weak excuse of saying "I don't have a fucking clue". You act as if everyone is a computer that needs a hardrive to survive when it works fine without it! "why not just kill yourself?" exactly! Why?! What the fuck is the gain of killing myself? I have something in this universe that I consider a gift: LIFE. "why Care about the next generation if you have knowhere to go when you die?" Because that's not living life! I want my actions to help people for the preservation of something extrordinary in this universe! Christianity Specificaly is a sidetrack, a distraction to living and does not help the smart when it only comforts the ignorant! Life dosent need an origin or an explanation to make sense because the purpose of our life is to do one thing: LIVE.
