Anonymous raged 1 year ago —— Ok people, as if it wasn't obvious enough that our government is corrupt, now we have Bill 510 passed in the Senate just this morning 11/30/2010. People didn't get to vote on this, yet it fucks over everyone. If you like to grow fruits or vegetables in a garden, this Bill makes it illegal for you to do so. This bill is taking away one of our oldest rights, the right to provide food for yourself and your familiy, and I guarantee 95% of you fucktards don't even realize it got passed.

How can anyone trust the direction of the government when they are blatantly taking food out of our mouths?!?!? Most of you people are so fucking stupid you see this happen and think "I can just go get that stuff from the store". WRONG! A lot of the best foods at your local store were grown by local farmers organically, which will be stomped out by this bill. And if you were like my Mom or Grandma, you would be fucking livid that you couldn't plant your yearly garden for your fresh vegetables.

If you want to keep some control over your food and your health, quickly contact your U.S. Senator and tell them how fucked up this is. Because it is truly fucked.

Wow, this is simply insane. I really want to think that something like this couldn't happen here in the US but with all the bullshit that has been happening over the last few years with agriculture I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

What I can't believe is that this stupid fucking government feels that our right to grow / sell food is be regulated and pulled out of our hands, yet for some reason or economy shouldn't be regulated at all? What is fucking wrong with these greedy suns of a bitches.

What bothers me the most is the fact that not only will the government have a say in what we grow,and how we grow, but the seeds we grow too. Taking the farmers rights to grow their own seeds, or raise their own animals. And the fact that the people who are getting put in charge are the exact opposite people we would want in charge of this will take away any rights to grow or produce food of any types. No more raising your own chickens, growing your own fruit / vegetables, and no more rights to manage your own land.

Watch, in the next 2 - 3 years some insane law dealing with hunting will be placed in affect too. We can't let all these hunters to be eating all this dirt cheap meat right! It could be unsafe for them!

I can appreciate where you are coming from and agree with a large portion of your statement. What pisses me off is that fucks like you will sit around aware of said significant issue and then bitch at everyone after the fact. One could just as easily call you a dumb motherfucker for not knowing when the next fucking solar flare is going to happen or the life span and breeding season of the Praying Mantis. Did you know that the explosion of Krakatoa was so fucking load that it ruptured the eardrums of people miles away and that people thousands of miles away heard the explosion? If this issue was so significant to you and you know the awareness of it is low then why in the fuck, did you not say something sooner than after the fucking fact. And Fubar, I didn't know about this bill until today, so saying that I knew about it and ranting about how I would let kids play with razor blades is just beyond fucking stupid, it is downright retarded.

I found out about it and I ranted, everyone should be ranting with me. I am on the side of every human being who wants to be able to rely on the ground (not the fucking corrupt government) to feed themselves.

I agree with you and I think there is a lot they should be fucking taking care of instead of worrying about the motherfucking vegetables we grow in our fucking back yards.

The fact is that the Senate can and does draft up bills like this without the knowledge of the public. We the people don't even get to fucking vote on it. Our Senators vote on it (and a lot of them are getting sizable campaign contributions from corporations that have interest in the bills that get passed). I am still in shock that it is even a possiblity to tell you the truth. It blows my fucking mind to think that our government would try and take away our right to plant vegetables and fruits. Who the fuck are they to tell me I can't eat a fresh head of lettuce out of my garden!?!? Seriously, this is a blatant act of stomping on our rights.

Honestly, although I am not for this bill, people saw some bullshit similar to this coming. As a point of foreshadowing, consider my two year old "FDA et al Suck" rage. Tens of millions of people are affected by food spoiling every year because farmers, stores and the USDA don't do a fucking thing to check if their cows were shitting on the tomatoes again.

Yes, it will now cost more, perhaps multiple amounts more, to farm your vegetables. Yes, you will have Homeland Security on your doorstep if you are trying to sell food. Yes, you will see food prices look similar to 2008's gas prices over the next year. That's why I'm against it. That said, something needed to be done safety-wise. The government is just not doing it appropriately because it's the corrupt piece of shit it usually is.

With the cost of living so fucking high and the fact that so many people haven't heard that "the recession is over", because they are still busy looking for work or trying to avoid foreclosure, you would think our fucked up government would WANT people to try to stretch a buck by growing their own tomatos for Chrissake!

When I think about the founding fathers being mostly farmers, this Bill 510 is a fucking amazing display of how far our government has descended into even greater levels of stupidty and waste. And speaking of our founding fathers, one of the reasons they got pissed enough to declare independence from England was that the British soldiers had the right to enter any residence without permission of the homeowner. The ostensible reason for this was the Brits wanted to check to see if any seditionist activities or other infractions of their laws were going on. I guess the new law will bring us right back to that earlier time, when we start having the Feds break into homes of law-abiding citizens to see if we are growing any illegal tomatos or, God forbid, our own herbs.

That being said, I plan to take my canabis plant hobby underground.

KPissed - Outraged, but only until the effects of the healing herbs begins to help me unwind.

Already what we eat is genetically modified shit. The fruits taste like paper towel the vegetables too. No smell, no juice, no ripeness, taste, texture. Its basically all shit. Its just in the shape of food. I don't even eat meat anymore because God knows what's been done to it or where it came from. Chicken tastes like rubber. I grew up on a farm until I was about 7 and can really tell the difference. I live in Canada but I can see that this may happen here too, since this fucking country follows the US like fuck. We will all start mutating soon with the shit their feeding us.
