Magnavox used to make pretty good electronics for the average home user. So I had no qualms when I bought a Magnavox DVD/VCR player/recorder. The concept was to record some of my favorite old videos from VHS tapes to DVD discs. One of the functions listed on the box, was VHS to DVD coying/dubbing. So I expected to able to perform this simple function.
Ah, the poignency of disappointed expectations.
First, the fucking instruction booklet was printed in something resembling a combination of Sanskrit and Esperanto.
Second, the fucking diagram did not match the unit purchased. Neither did the fucking item number. So the instructions were basically useless, unless I ran out of toilet paper.
Third, when I called the "Toll Free Number" for assistance, the motherfucker on the other end of the line answered in something resembling a combination of Sanskrit and Esperanto. AND the cocksucker not only wouldn't take any information from me about the mixed up in-box instructions, but when I asked to speak to his supervisor, Frederick March (that was the name he gave) hung the fuck up on me.
I am now writing a letter to Magnavox. It's taking me some time to do this, mostly because of the difficulty of finding someone to write the letter for me in a combination of Sanskrit and Esper-FUCKING-ranto.
KPissed - Who can deal with disappointed expectations, shitty electronics, bad customer service and all the rest, but who can't take it when expected to speak Sanskrit-Esperanto
